Biography

Eric Ehrke, LCSW, LMFT received his undergraduate degree in psychology and masters in clinical social work at Ohio State University. After treating families, couples and individuals in psychiatric hospitals and residential treatment centers for fifteen years, he has spent the past thirty years in private practice. A graduate of the Family Institute of Northwestern University he embraces traditional psychotherapy and systems theory but also can merge complimentary/spiritual approaches to everyday problems. He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists and Collaborative Family Law Counsel of Wisconsin. Eric is a Prepare/Enrich Pre-Marriage Assessment Facilitator and previously was a Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills (PAIRS) Instructor from (1989-1998) and served as a student/faculty of the Inner Focus School of Soul Directed Advanced Energy Healing from 1994-2005 before taking time off from teaching to write this book.

Eric has given hundreds of lectures, workshops and twenty radio/television interviews with a reach of many thousands. He has attended countless mental health/spiritual conferences throughout his 40 plus year career. Passionate about cetaceans, Eric has either lead groups or participated in dolphin, humpback whale, sperm whale and whale shark wild swim encounters in the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Dominica, Mexico and Hawaii, including swimming with Boto dolphins in the Amazon River in 2016.

Some of his trainings have included: Family systems theory, Gestalt therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Jungian Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Ericksonian hypnosis, Guided Imagery, Imago Therapy, Conflict resolution, Individual, group and marriage therapist, Ropes Course leader, Mediation techniques, Parenting, Trauma release, Emotional intimacy/sexuality training, Collaborative Divorce coach and dream analysis. Ehrke trained with the PAIRS Foundation in Washington DC and led experiential emotional release workshops for a decade.

Additional trainings include Vipassana Mediation, Mindfulness approaches, Higher Brain Living, Yoga, Ancient breathing practices, Prayer, Law of Attraction manifestation principles, Energy healing, Soul communication, Spiritual connection, Self awareness/realization/actualization techniques. He has devoured Eastern, Western and Spiritual philosophies throughout his career.
